Doomsday Predictions

Population grows geometrically but the food supply grows arithmetically, a meaning food supply grows by addition. This has led to terrible outcomes where you end up with populations that can't feed themselves. It's kind of a doomsday prediction that came out of the nineteenth century. Now, this has basically been proven wrong, because it didn't happen,. Even though it's been predicted for something like a hundred, 50 plus years. So it's not quite right. And a lot of that has got to do with technology. We've had an incredible boom in the production of agriculture largely because of things like the invention of fertilizers. But there are people who will criticise this
