How to Make a Fool's Errand
Some of the earliest April Fool's Day jokes were known to be fools errands. A booby trap is basically rearranging aspects of a person's environment in such a way that they don't realize anything's being rearranged. Booby traps work because we know how people are going to respond in those situations.
