The Having Mode Has Been Completely Submined
Sidarta is experiencing an existential crisis. He's trying to return to the right, that self enclosure of the pure having mode. Once it starts to be dissipated, you can't return to it. And as he's trying to get back to the palace and try to enfold himself back into that world, he meets a mendicant who has given up the having mode. They are called renouncers because they have renounced the world of the palace of luxury.
