The Effects of Goal Setting on Engagement and Goal Setting
The study found that the group of students that goals, they set their own goal specifically, achieved much higher engagement and reviewed a whole lot more words than the group that was just assigned to use the ap every day. The learner engagement within both groups, i actually varied quite a bit. So on average for short it, that definitely was much higher. But you still had students in each group that didn't even use the ap at all. And i thought it was interesting how, you know, the whole leader board thing, some people felt motivated by it, and then others hated it or just totally ignored it as nonsense.
