Machine Learning Algorithms to Identify the Location of Images
CNN's John Sutter talks about a machine learning project that locates where photos were taken in space. It uses algarithms to identify common points between images, he says. The process is not as easy as laying down one image and then sequentially adding other images on top of it; small errors can make something unrecognizable. But the team has developed a procedure that essentially optimizes the location of all images jointly.
