Had kennedy survived, and even if he had beaten gold a gold water, ah, then you know what would have happened? A second term? He could have been impeached for all the affairs he had. So it's really iffy to predict the future, but that's what i think conspiracys, conspiracy theories do. They give us an alternate time line that we imagine would be perfect compared to this one. And then this nostalgia and despair combine to create an alternate narrative. But no, i do teach a course on utopias; they don't turn out the way they're usually planning to.

As we approach the sixtieth anniversary of the violent public assassination of President John F. Kennedy, over half of all Americans surveyed continue to believe that he was killed by a conspiracy involving multiple assassins.
