There's a false dicotome between privacy and security, says Suni labraham. The other approach would be to also take into account the moral aspect of it - that beyond a point, you cannot take away my liberties. But as a moral point, definitely, internete shut downs are not the way to rite itis. A severe restriction of liberty of a large number of people in the name of security is illiberal.
