Quote Unquote Estimates Are Good

There needs to be a level of trust and respect if, you know, a deadline and a schedule are going to be a useful task as opposed to kind of like an offensive task. If the business has a schedule and they don't care what you say and they're not willing to negotiate, it doesn't matter how good your estimate is. But fortunately, I've mostly been in places where there's usually a pretty healthy relationship between CEO and engineers.
