In many ways, I think the tools that we use to go about dating and relationships now are sort of explicitly set up to encourage the commodification of people. Tinder was originally conceived as it was supposed to look like a deck of cards that you can just kind of swipe through and pick who you like and discard who you don't like. But in some ways because America is just such a capitalist society such a market based society,. That sort of that mindset leaks into almost every facet of our lives, including our relationships.
