The Invisible Hand

Adam Smith coined the phrase "invisible hand" to describe market solutions. In modern economics and public policy, it has come to mean that we don't have to worry about certain problems because the market will take care of them. The underappreciated part is that over the last maybe 10, 15 years, hundreds of millions of Chinese citizens moved from the countryside into the cities of China.
