Accreditation in Higher Education
Thales College will offer undergraduate degrees in entrepreneurial business and mechanical engineering based on the same classical model that made Thales Academy so popular. Much of our discussion deals with accreditation; most colleges and universities in the United States are accredited. While anyone is free to start a college or university, existing institutions can restrict competition by withholding accreditation. The largest effective accreditation is to protect colleges by making it difficult to found more of them.
