The Importance of Prophecy in the Gospel of Luke
Prophecy can be conditional, says Paul. The prophecy does not care that paul going up to jerusalem and being imprisoned is inevitable. It may also lead to false conclusions, as we see in verse four of this chapter where the disciples infer from the message of the spirit that paul is going to face persecutions and imprisonment,. That he should not go up to jer Jerusalem. This again recalls events from the gospel of luke in luke, chapter 22, verses forty one, forty two.
