The Temporal Parietal Junction in the Brain
When a prediction needs to be updated, there's several signals that happen at several levels of the processing hierarchy. The temporal parietal junction sits in this hub-like location between all these different cortical networks. When you have a prediction update signal, the TPJ comes online and you get theta phase reset in the hippocampus. And I think what we're doing there is training ourselves to put aside the whole predictive apparatus rather than our top up information.
