How to Assess Social Equity Impacts for the Built Environment
Daniel Treisman: There's been a lot of discussion around issues of equity. How do we try to address them in ways that would help engineering decision making? He says he and his co-author Samuel Jones found fewer bridges are statistically associated with racially diverse populations. Treisman: So the punchline is if you get more non-white, African American or Hispanic people, you're associated with less restrictive bridges.
