I think it is, I mean like from a biographical standpoint it's because he looks at the ancient Greeks and has this experience that when I talked to John Hunt in the podcast he had this experience many of us have. You realize though that Cicero inhabits a different world than you live in. There are ways in which you can see how the Greek and Roman society was a prerequisite to our own or how their ideas are continued or passed down even into our own day but then there are other aspects that are almost totally alienating about them.
