The Effects of Insulin on Alzheimer's Disease
The foraging response can identify which, you know, which is consistent with what Alzheimer's is. So the areas of the brain that get inhibited are the areas that you get Alzheimer's. And those are the first sites where Alzheimer's develops. When we give fructose to a human in the first 10 minutes, it shows an inhibition of those same areas. It's like a perfect match. You can induce it with sugar in the diet in a rat as well as other risk factors such as diabetes and heart disease.
