The Cognitive Interpretation of Disgust

There are two theories of disgust. One is a cognitive interpretation, according to which we see something we think about eating it and then respond to the feeling of that idea. The other one is an unconscious theory of disgust, where we are disgusted by certain things. And it's simply because throughout long process of evolutionary selection, our ancestors who had this aversion to this particular object were more likely to survive than those who were attracted to it.
