Is There a Silent Metaphysical and Epistemological Revolution?

In the 19 twenties, there was a silent metaphysical and epistemological revolution that happened in western intellectual tradition. These ideas can become so abstract and so esoteric that they don't easily permeate into popular culture. Most popular cultural conceptions of science and also of what reality is are hundreds of years out of date. So this is not taught to you in school, and it's not really even teaching to you in university.
