Do You Want Zero Interest Rates?
When I ran my bank, I did exactly that. So they wouldn't carry out monetary policy that is outside those scenarios they expect firms to have accounted for. They might, but then it's a failure of regulation. You can't fall at the bank for them. The whole idea is to pay a positive interest rate, which we know is just basic income for people who already have money. It's the most regressive policy can imagine in proportion how much they have. But again, that's, you know, so I put the burden of proof on you.
