The language of harm seems like it is soliciting apology. So the students were frustrated that my inclination was not to immediately apologize. It was to think through, how can we structure the seminar differently so that the issues that you care about can be in the center? We encouraged students to use those opportunities to bring in what they felt was missing. If some omission was harming them, there's faces in the structure of the seminar to fill those gaps.
