The Problem of Pain by C.S Lewis
I feel like this book would almost be a very good way into C.S. Lewis for maybe someone who is struggling with deconstructing their faith or is questioning their faith in some way. He's admirably honest and you have to admire his brutal honesty. I see this as a culmination of his exploration of sweet desire or senzu that these experiences in life are all ultimately directing you towards creator God, who is the final consummation of our lives.
