The Symbolic World
The Memetic Process of Violence
The story of the woman called adultery is I think the most mathematically charged aside from the crucifixion in the gospels, right? It's literally, there's a memetic process of accusation that's taking place. And Christ steps into the story as the only person who stands outside of the memetic processes and diffuses them. So he's the only, in a sense, most people don't think of that story as him diffusing the stoning as a miracle. You could almost say that there's some kind of divine intervention where the only anti-memetic was Christ.
