The Labour Party's Precautionary Approach to the Election

The economic fundamentals by the election are not going to be vastly different, probably, than they are now. Labour's always terrified of saying before it takes power that they're going to spend any money. So every time they make any announcement of any policy, the incident response is: does this mean you're not going to do X? It's miserable and depressing to listen to but I think there are sound economic reasons for being as cautious as they are.
