The Wisdom of Solomon, Chapter 1 Exortation to a Brightness and Avoidance of Evil
In this way he left in his death an example of nobility and a memorial of courage, not only to the young, but to the great body of his nation. Love righteousness, you rulers of the earth. Think of the Lord with uprightness and seek him with sincerity of heart. For perverse thoughts separate men from God, and when his power is tested, it convicts the foolish. Wisdom will not enter a deceitful soul nor dwell in a body enslaved to sin.
