Introduction

This year's P.E.I. 300 ranking is a particularly interesting one, as it takes into account busiest fundraising period in the history of private equity. KKR now leads the ranking after raising $126.5 billion in the last five years. This is a record-breaking summit itself, beating the previous highest record by more than 36%. The minimum amount needed to appear on the list at all rose from $1.55 billion last year to $1.85 billion in 2022.
