The average social security retirement check is $2,400 per month, roughly 30,000 a year. Black men are not living to retirement. The period of years when comparatively speaking, they would have been making the most money in their entire careers saying they die. That means there's going to be progressively fewer and fewer of them relative to white men at the later earning years when your salary is the highest.
