What Does Lukach Mean by the Proletariat?
Lukach argues that for bourgeois and proletarian alike, the immediate appearance of things is totally abstract and relified. The proletariat has access through collective struggle to forms of mediation that give the lie to that appearance. Lukach gets almost prophetic toward the end of the essay when it comes to the standpoint of the proletariat. And so there's like, a lot to say, alot more to say. I think the text is electric. Its superdense, and its aspirations and its scope are probably impossible to overstate. So hopefully i've done a half way decent job at giving out a rough sketch of what's going on here, and i'm excited to hear what you all have to say
