The way you ask the question completely changes how you interpret what you're looking at. People like you and i should not make pole questions, because it turns out that asking the question is a real skill in science. If you're a normal person and you ask a pole question, no matter how well you choose the pole, people don't know how to ask the question right without priming for an answer. So be careful about what you see in poles.
