The book is a memoir of an inner life which you can have mistakenly fell into. Do yo, do you miss that inner space at all? Is there any part of that memoir where you kind of think that that world would be in some way useful or enjoyable again? Or is that, is it entirely in the past? Now, there are times wheni i felt that i wanted to push that mind or that way of life as far as i could. There's various levels of obsession going through the books tit's the narrater's obsession with ballard mixed in with his obsession with his girl friend who's left him. It's about trying to make connections where there are no connections.
