My parents were married for forty eight years before my father passed away. They came to the united states in the mid 19 sixties, during a time of racial turmoil. So i had a very sheltered hum educationk three 12. And so i was in new york city public schools a k through 12. I went to brooklyn tech high school and a, you know, growing up yound. It wasn't until i came to theunited states that i realized that i was a blackman twas very profound.
