'Erasmus'
It took until 19 87 for sophia to get the erasmus scheme introduced. This before the european union was created, and with it the principle of freedom of movement. Erasmus is named after a dutch mediaeval scholar who studied at universities across the continent. But also an acronym extends for european region.
