The Importance of Being Present and Aware
I feel like when you view yourself as an amateur, that places you in the perspective of a learner rather than an expert. That's a really interesting way of looking at things. We should be present and aware and attuned and be in the place that allows us to see these different affordances. The other part of that is because I'm very anti-representational in my view of the world. I'm very much a Gibsonian from that point of view.
