Passing Into the White Community

Passing is when someone, a light skinned a, in our case, african american woman, sort of a leaving her community and assimilation into the white community. I think it's been shrouded in a lot of secrecy and shame. A lot of people who pass into the whit community don't come back, because it's not safe. So there hasn't been much discussion about it. But also, it's actually really a, a very, it's very disruptive, and it's, it's dangerous.
