We are all masters at self deception. We get emotionally engaged with something in the future, and then we tell our brains, hey, go find some justification. This is a very import question. Why am i doing this? Really not what is the justification i've come up with? Not what of the three reasons i gave my husband or my wife or not? What is it i came up with in the car driving home to tell our kids why we're going to have to move again,. But really, why am i doingthis really? And i that causes us to pause in the moment, pull ourselves out of our future orientation and not simply look ahead, but look around.
