How do we define a village society? I mean, how do we see this concept working in Greece at this point in time? Yeah, great question. Village societies are, it's tough to define and it's a slightly vague term, but that's partly because of what it's trying to describe. You might define a village as a self-contained, relatively egalitarian social system,. But nevertheless there are these mechanisms for going beyond the limits of whatever the social group of the village is.
