Binge drinking is a huge public health issue in the UK because it's very unhealthy. In England I don't really know why the pubs close at 11 o'clock but they do even though many of them have 24 hour serving licenses. People tend to sit down and eat and drink at the same time rather than in the UK where people kind of will stand up in very crowded pubs Drinking often means missing out on their dinner or just going straight to the pub and just drinking all eveningvery unhealthy. champagne in France is cheaper than it is in the UK and in other parts of the world so in in England champagne is a luxury it's the sort of thing that you only drink on special occasions
