The Early Mycenaean Culture

Mycenaeans in fact were not a unified political unit, but a conglomeration of numerous small kingdoms. The contents of two circular burial grounds have shed much light on Mycenaean's early development. One of the graves had a face remarkably well preserved beneath its gold funerary mask. Shleemon sent a telegram to the King of Greece saying that he had gazed upon the face of Agamemnon.
