The one book I recommend is the design of everything by Dan Norman. The defenders don't throw stones at me, but I haven't read this book yet. So he talks about aesthetic design, down to usability and why your designs have to be not only functional, but also beautiful and appealing. And it's actually like hits the nail on the head like every UX topic based on emotional design.
Joshua Oluwagbemiga motivates us to allow different inputs to influence our visual outputs. He shows us the effective power of determination when pursuing the craft of design. He also reminds us that inspiration is all around us...if we’re looking for it.
