The Importance of Reading Historical Writers
There was this comment made on Twitter where a person said, we don't need to read historical writers because their value if there is any has already been incorporated into our modern training. I think that in the wake of the great financial crisis, economist epistemology shifted a bit and it's more interesting to actually understand how these tools are created than just reading about them. And for instance, when computers going to get better you may want to do it differently. You can see actually Lucas saying okay we're going to do that most because that's what the computer is going to do. Right.
