As technology has progressed, we forget or abandon the intrinsic world and intrinsic explanations. You can give these extrinsic explanations, which is basely treating people like machines. And i think thatn you do that, you can often be correct about it. But if you overprivilege that view and you under privilege the alternative, then you can arrive at explanations of human nature that aren't really correct.
