The Philosophy of Science and Philosophy

Papa says it is dangerously captivating because it leads straight to the conclusion that philosophy then, is easily interpreted as being much ado about nothing. Of course, papa thinks this is mistaken, but is the result of learning philosophy in the traditional manner. So i say that again in my own words, philosophers really need to be familiar with problems within science and mathematics in order to appreciate the philosophical problems in those areas at a given time. And so to day, there are philosophical problems at the heart of physics and mathematics. But philosophers can only make a contribution to these philosophical problems if they're familiar with philosophy, with science and with mathematics.
