How to Work With Music in a Delicate Balance

I use only stock music sites that have what they call stems, which is four layers of it. Oftentimes I'm taking out the melody, because that's going to distract. And so I can basically have a little bit more of a bedrock of a score that just kind of stays in one place. It doesn't build. And then I can therefore direct the attention to the visuals instead of to the music.
