The Role of Propositions in Our Discourse
I'm really interested in a sort of militantly naturalist sort of project, generally. I wouldn't say that it's that I believe that naturalism is true. What I would say is that I believe in naturalism as a project. God knows how far you can push this,. But the sense in which I'm naturalist is not that I believe that a certain proposition called naturalism isTrue. It's precisely the question of whether the scientific project, whether the naturalist project at some point collapses. This is what was at stake in the debate about quantum mechanics an hour and a half ago.
