The Tragic Fall of the Chicago Tornadoes

At least 10 tornadoes hit northern Illinois that day, part of 45 total in the state. Three F4 tornadoes struck Belvedere, Lake Zurich and Oakland on April 21, 1967. Damage from those storms exceeded $1.5 million. The worst tornado was yet to come; it killed 13 people at a high school in Belvedere.
