I have no doubt that they had this all planned out from the beginning. What I do wonder is if it was supposed to be three seasons versus maybe an extended amount of time. The third season really just started throwing rules at you fast and loose. It just felt like a lot. And I wonder if the ending, if it could have stuck the landing better if they had spent more time earning it basically.
