Eddie is using the power of the internet to heat people's homes. Instead of every home having its own boiler he and his team have set up a system known as district heating. Water at 23 degrees just isn't hot enough for Eddie's purposes so they use these electric heat pumps to boost the temperature. The energy to do some of that heating essentially comes for free.
