CHAPTER

Is Reduct Reductionism Bad for Conceptual Literacy?

Socirates is sort of an expert at creating conceptual literacy. And so we want to learn from the master. Is reductionism bad if you're trying to build conceptual literacy because it tries to over simplify? Literacy, like language, is about being able to use building blocks in more open hended ways. It's been a long time since i've read some of this philosophy of language stuff. But if i recall inochomsky has the ideaof learning language as a child and then form sentences that nobody else has ever formed. I love that so much.
