Introduction

In 2006, Glasgow was known as the murder capital of Europe. Hundreds of young people were involved in violent gangs. 10 teenagers lost their lives in the first three months of that year. John Yates set up a charity called the Youth Endowment Fund to try and reduce knife crime. Four years later we actually know a lot about what works and what doesn't.
