CHAPTER

RNA-Based Stress Resilience in the Mammalian Experiment

In worms, parents put something into the genetic instructions of their offspring that would afford them an advantage. The advantages are small RNAs that match the viral genome. And they inherit these smaller RNAs only if their parents were infected with them. This transmission of resistance to viruses doesn't only affect the next generation. It also affects multiple additional generations. We later identify genes that regulate for how long an effect would last. MOTEC is modified transgenerational kinetic epigenetics.
