The deal also includes something called red flag laws, which will help states pass and implement crisis intervention orders. These laws already exist in 19 states; Florida is probably the most high profiled state to have passed one. One concern a lot of people have had is about the young age at which guns can be bought. Does the deal address that at all? Some republicans were hesitant to change the legal age to buy certain weapons from 18 to 21,. Yet it seems they wanted to do something to make it harder for young people to acquire guns.
